Cold Case Spotlight

Scharod Fleming was attending a teen dance at the YMCA in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco on January 17, 2004. After two fights broke out and spilled into the street police arrived (around 10:30pm) to defuse the situation. While the teens gathered in front of the building around 11:50pm a gunman opened fire on the crowd, shooting multiple people and killing 15-year-old Scharod Fleming. The Office of the Mayor of San Francisco has authorized a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect responsible for the murder of Scharod Fleming. 57-year-old janitorial service worker Ralph Anderson was shot to death around 7am January 13, 1985, as he cleaned inside the old Village Saloon. Anderson was shot five times at close range with a .38-caliber pistol and apparently died from two bullets to the back of his head. Investigators suspected Anderson knew his killer and had let that person inside the tavern. His body was discovered by the tavern's owner when he arrived at the business later that morning.
