Nichols is the second arrest made in this case, following the October arrest of Brian Flannery. Police indicated that even more arrests could be coming.

Update - October 2021: The Kentucky State Police announced the arrest of Brian Flannery, 57, on October 8, 2021. He is being charged with first-degree murder. Authorities indicated that they expect more arrests to follow.

It appears that Hamilton was shot during a drug buy, and drove himself to the E-Z Food Store, where he died inside his car in the parking lot.
