Cold Case Spotlight

Bryan Bennett Wrigley, a South Carolina native attending University of St. Augustine and avid bicycle rider, was riding his bicycle eastbound on CR-214 near Poa Boy Farms Rd. Around 3:15pm, and for reasons unknown, a westbound 2001 to 2003 Blue Ford Ranger crossed the center line of the road and struck Bryan Wrigley head-on killing him instantly. The driver then fled the crash scene west bound. A witness in the area described the Ford Ranger as an extended cab, and the driver as a 18-21 year old white male with dark hair. He was last seen turning south on CR13 from CR214 with a bicycle tire still stuck to the front of the truck. Anyone who has any information about this case, the identity, or location of the suspect(s) is asked to contact the St. Johns County Sheriff`s Office at 904-824-8304.
