On 1/5/1980 the body of Joe Hudson was found in the parking lot of the Silver Spur Bar off U.S. Hwy 19 in Port Richey, Florida. An armed robbery occurred at the bar with two white male subjects robbing the liquor store portion of the bar. As the subjects fled, Hudson (who was not working but in the bar at the time) observed the robbery taking place and followed the suspects outside into the parking lot. At 5:45pm on Saturday, March 20, 2010, Tiphne Hollis was shot and killed while traveling in a car with 4 other young women. The group had gotten turned around in an unfamiliar area of town when an unknown assailant(s) opened fire on the car. As Tiphne and the others scrambled for safety and bullet penetrated the vehicle and struck 16-year-old Tiphne Hollis, killing her.
