The body of Sheila Holmes, age 31, of Barrington was discovered on the morning of April 13, 1990 near the railroad tracks by Forest Street in Dover, NH. An autopsy determined that Sheila had been strangled and also suffered blunt force trauma to the head. Sheila also suffered multiple rib fractures and a lacerated renal artery. She was found lying on the ground in front of a blue Toyota pickup truck.

Back in 1981 Glades County Sheriff’s Office investigated a homicide of an unidentified white female. Due to limited information the female has been identified as “Jane Doe”. In 2008 the case was re-opened. Since 1981 new technology has surfaced which may assist with identifying “Jane Doe” and possibly obtaining additional information which could possibly assist with solving the case and bringing closure for the victim’s family. Skeletal remains were sent to the University of North Texas – Center for Human Identification for DNA analysis. Those results were later entered into a database for comparison however rendered no matches. Remains were also submitted to the Miami Dade Police Department, Forensic Arts Unit, where a facial reconstruction was completed. Attached below is an image from the reconstruction.
