On June 2nd, 2008, at approximately 12:23 pm, deputies responded to 5450 Clarcona Key Boulevard, in reference to a death investigation. When deputies arrived to the scene they found Victim #1 lying face down on the ground, unresponsive. Victim #1 died due to gunshot wounds. Near the entrance of the complex, Victim #2 was found lying on the ground also unresponsive. Victim #2 died due to gunshot wounds. UPDATE: June 2021 - On June 4, 2021, two men were taken into custody for their connection to the Arbuthnot double homicide. David Wisham Sr. and Kenneth Jones Jr. are in custody, each currently charged with two counts of second-degree murder.

In the early morning hours of December 17, 2013, first responders found the bodies of 20-year-old Ryesha Arbuthnot and her mother, 45-year-old Lisa Arbuthnot at the Wind Run apartments off the north I-10 Service Road.

The coroner says the 20-year-old was stabbed to death while her mother was shot in the head.
