Joseph V. Furando, age 39, of Gilford, CT, was on a business trip in New Hampshire in May 1979. He was last seen in Newton, MA, on May 16, 1979 and had reservations at the Holiday Inn in Portsmouth, NH, for later that evening. Joseph's body was found on Brewer Road just off of Route 150 in Kensington, NH, on May 17, 1979. He was lying approximately 20 feet from his vehicle. An autopsy revealed that he died as a result of a gunshot wound to the head.

Update - May 2020: Investigators at the St. Lucie County Sheriff's Office have cleared the murder of Rocky Taylor after 33 years. Detectives indicated that DNA evidence linked them to a suspect that died in 2015 from cancer. The man was believed to be a former boyfriend of the victim.
