On July 14th, 2005 approximately 0100 hours, the victim and a friend were sitting in a vehicle, within an apartment complex, located at 6806 N. 50th Street (50th Street just south of Sligh Avenue). An unknown black male, 5ft9, medium build, wearing dark clothing and a dark colored mask approached them. The suspect attempted to rob the victims of their money. The suspect then shot Chad Lynch in the upper torso, killing him. The suspect fled to an unknown destination. Cold Case Spotlight

15-year-old Jonathen “Johnnie” Matthew Carter was shot and killed on July 6, 2016 near his home in Jacksonville's Lakeshore neighborhood.

Investigators reported that some sort of altercation took place prior to Johnnie being shot around 4:45 a.m. on Sunderland Road at Vista Avenue near Blanding Boulevard.

Lindsey O. Sams and her step-daughter were alone in the townhome. No forced entry. Step-daughter found her on 2nd floor, blugeoned around the head area. Victim was still alive. Victim's husband was a docter in Mississippi. Upon arrival to the area, he eventually took charge of her care, moving her back to Mississippi. Eventually he moved her to a facility in TEnnessee where she died. She could never communicate any information about the suspect.
