57-year-old Harry Paul “Steve” Jernigan was found in an orange grove off Old Bartow/Lake Wales Rd in Lake Wales on January 10, 1982. He was shot while traveling east on SR 60 towards Lake Wales, and his body was dumped in an orange grove. Jernigan’s car, a 1977 Buick Estate station wagon with Alabama tags was found burned in Hillsborough County. He was in possession of several thousand dollars when he was found. Update - December 2021: The Kentucky State Police announced the arrest of Randell Nichols, 63, on December 15, 2021. He is being charged with first-degree murder. Nichols is the second arrest made in this case, following the October arrest of Brian Flannery. Police indicated that even more arrests could be coming.

Update - October 2021: The Kentucky State Police announced the arrest of Brian Flannery, 57, on October 8, 2021. He is being charged with first-degree murder. Authorities indicated that they expect more arrests to follow.

On June 16, 2016 at approximately 10:04 p.m., deputies responded to 2300 Fontainebleau Drive, Orlando, Florida in reference to a drive-by shooting. Deputies discovered two black males with gunshot wounds who were identified as Teryus Zion Garmon (Juvenile) and Lee Andrew Nelson Jr. They later died of their injuries. Witnesses indicate a dark colored sedan pulled up to the victims, who were standing in front of the house, and fired from the vehicle.
