On Friday, December 22, 1995 at approximately 1:00 am victim Eric Harper, an 18 year old black male, was shot while in the area of 1124 NW 5 Ave. People in the area heard a conversation outside and then heard "hey man". They then heard one gunshot. The victim was then heard saying "Oh my God, I've been shot, I'm gonna die". A witness didn't see the shooting but heard the "pop" and saw a black Escort flee the scene.
