Cold Case Spotlight

Thomas "TJ" Nunley went for a walk in his Arlington neighborhood on Dec. 9, 2012 and never came home. He was found dead on the side of Fort Caroline Road with a single gunshot wound. He was 19 years old. Nunley had no known enemies. He wasn't robbed. He was the victim of a seemingly random act of violence. Lt. Rob Schoonover with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said, "He had left his house, was just walking down the street. For whatever reason, he was shot in cold blood." With the case growing cold, the teenager's family, friends, and neighbors are making a desperate plea to the public, offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nunley's killer. PLEASE NOTE: The $15,000 reward offered through the Justice Coalition is paid upon arrest and conviction (please contact the Justice Coalition for details). First Coast Crime Stoppers is also offering a reward of up to $3,000 for an arrest when the tip is called into their anonymous tip line 1-866-845-TIPS.
