On 03/02/14 at approximately 1604 hours, at 6615 N. 50th St Tampa, Fl the victim was shot. Damien Bowie was walking around in the parking lot at Avesta Del Rio apartments at the intersection of 50th Street and Sligh Ave. The victim was approached by a red Infiniti which was occupied by several black males. The victim approached the vehicle at which time one of the black males exited the vehicle. One of the unknown males pistol-whipped the victim in the head three times before shooting him. All of the suspects then fled in the red Infiniti undetected. Damien Bowie was known to reside in the Nuccio area. Cold Case Spotlight

On August 7, 2006, at approximately 10:23 pm, 17-year-old Robert Placencia was struck by gunfire, while walking in the area of Tamoshanter Way and Montecito Way in the Meadowview area of Sacramento, California. Two other murders happened in the same area within 30 hours of Robert Placencia's killing but are not considered connected and appear to have been gang-related. Robert's son was 12 months old when his father was shot and killed in what appears to be a case of mistaken identity. In 2007 a $50,000 Governors Reward was issued and still remains active for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the suspect(s).
