Cold Case Spotlight

On January 4, 1994 police were dispatched to 4000 San Juan Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida in response to a body floating in the Ortega River just north of the Ortega Bridge. The victim was identified as Lora Elise Loftin Crady, just 2 weeks shy of her 38th birthday. Lora's partially clothed body displayed evidence of foul play. Lora's death was initially deemed undetermined by JSO but the medical examiner's office rule it a homicide. The discrepancy led to evidence being thrown out. Now investigators need the public's help to find Lora's killer and bring justice to her family. On 03/02/14 at approximately 1604 hours, at 6615 N. 50th St Tampa, Fl the victim was shot. Damien Bowie was walking around in the parking lot at Avesta Del Rio apartments at the intersection of 50th Street and Sligh Ave. The victim was approached by a red Infiniti which was occupied by several black males. The victim approached the vehicle at which time one of the black males exited the vehicle. One of the unknown males pistol-whipped the victim in the head three times before shooting him. All of the suspects then fled in the red Infiniti undetected. Damien Bowie was known to reside in the Nuccio area.
