On March 11, 1992 unidentified human remains were discovered in a canal that runs along U.S. 27 near Griffin Road in unincorporated Broward County. The victim was a black female with a severe case of scoliosis (curvature of the spine) approx. 20 - 25 years old. Because the remains included only a torso, identification was especially difficult. The severe curvature of her spine may have caused the victim to walk with a limp and lean to the right.
