Cold Case Spotlight

Thomas "TJ" Nunley went for a walk in his Arlington neighborhood on Dec. 9, 2012 and never came home. He was found dead on the side of Fort Caroline Road with a single gunshot wound. He was 19 years old. Nunley had no known enemies. He wasn't robbed. He was the victim of a seemingly random act of violence. Lt. Rob Schoonover with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said, "He had left his house, was just walking down the street. For whatever reason, he was shot in cold blood." With the case growing cold, the teenager's family, friends, and neighbors are making a desperate plea to the public, offering a $15,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of Nunley's killer. PLEASE NOTE: The $15,000 reward offered through the Justice Coalition is paid upon arrest and conviction (please contact the Justice Coalition for details). Cold Case Spotlight

22 year old Amber Bass was shot and killed in the driveway of her sister's home at 8484 Springtree Road at 2:25am as she was returning from an evening out with friends. Amber's purse that was discovered missing at the time has still not been found. Police are asking for help identifying a light-colored vehicle captured on a surveillance camera about the same time the victim was killed. Update: June 2018 - Nearly three years after Daniel Rowe, 20, was robbed and gunned down while taking out the trash behind the Blind Rabbit in Riverside, his family finally has justice.Judge Mark Borello sentenced Erron Coleman, 27, to life in prison for second-degree murder and another life sentence for armed robbery with a deadly weapon, with a minimum 10-year sentence. On July 22, 2015, around 10:00pm Daniel Rowe carried trash out of the Blind Rabbit Burger and Whiskey Bar where he worked in Jacksonville, Florida. In the alley behind the restaurant, near the intersection of King St. and College St. in Riverside, he was approached by two black males intending to rob him. Daniel was shot twice in the head before the suspects fled the scene. On Sunday, July 19, 2009, at approximately 12:36 P.M., Police Officers responded to 813 NW 7th Street #3 in the city of Hallandale Beach and discovered Samuel Cothran lying on the ground critically injured from a gunshot wound. Samuel later died at Hollywood Memorial Hospital. The investigation revealed that several males were arguing outside of Samuel's apartment. Witnesses stated two unknown black males dressed in dark clothing were observed attempting to pull the door open at Samuel's apartment. A single loud bang consistent with that of a gunshot was then heard. Neighbors then observed Samuel lying on the ground bleeding in front of his apartment door.
