James Harold Thomas was found in the wooded area south of Cross Creek, dead of a gunshot to his head. The victim was in the Army stationed in Ft. Hood Texas and was last seen there December 3, 1965. His vehicle was found abandoned nearby on 12/10/65. Investigation revealed Thomas's death was the result of a homicide.
