In the early morning hours of Thursday, July 24, 1975, two white females, 77 year old Lillian Powell and her daughter 55 year old Louise Marsh, were found deceased inside their home in the 7900 block of North Old Palafox Highway after fire officials responded there to extinguish a fire. Investigation found that Lillian Powell and Louise Marsh were victims of murder. On November 24, 1974 at 3:00 a.m., the Manchester Police were called to Hermit Road in regards to a shooting victim. Upon arrival, they found a male subject gunned down while he was seated inside his car. A girl was also present at the time of the shooting but was not killed. The male victim was identified as David Longfellow, age 17. An extensive investigation was conducted into this death, but no one has been charged.
