On July 14th, 2005 approximately 0100 hours, the victim and a friend were sitting in a vehicle, within an apartment complex, located at 6806 N. 50th Street (50th Street just south of Sligh Avenue). An unknown black male, 5ft9, medium build, wearing dark clothing and a dark colored mask approached them. The suspect attempted to rob the victims of their money. The suspect then shot Chad Lynch in the upper torso, killing him. The suspect fled to an unknown destination. On September 29, 2007, 8-week-old Zachary Durham’s father found the baby unresponsive and called 911. EMS transported Zachary to the Heart of Florida Hospital in Haines City where he was pronounced dead. Head trauma was discovered during autopsy. The Medical Examiner advised that the injuries were a result of a traumatic injury. The cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma and the manner of death as homicide.
