On Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 10:09 pm, Police responded to the 1300 block of Thamesford Drive after a report of gunfire. Jesse Brown was found suffering from a gunshot wound. He died as a result of his injury. The State Medical Examiner’s Office ruled this death a homicide. Investigators were able to discover Mr. Brown had been involved in a confrontation with an unknown person just prior to the shooting. Jesse was a 23 year old black male who had dark brown eyes, black hair, stood 6’ 1’’ tall weighing 161 pounds.

Update: June 2018 - Nearly three years after Daniel Rowe, 20, was robbed and gunned down while taking out the trash behind the Blind Rabbit in Riverside, his family finally has justice.Judge Mark Borello sentenced Erron Coleman, 27, to life in prison for second-degree murder and another life sentence for armed robbery with a deadly weapon, with a minimum 10-year sentence. On July 22, 2015, around 10:00pm Daniel Rowe carried trash out of the Blind Rabbit Burger and Whiskey Bar where he worked in Jacksonville, Florida. In the alley behind the restaurant, near the intersection of King St. and College St. in Riverside, he was approached by two black males intending to rob him. Daniel was shot twice in the head before the suspects fled the scene.
