On the morning of March 9, 1988 at 8:00 a.m., the Manchester Police discovered the body of Robert "Flippy" Heckbert, age 30, floating face down in the Merrimack River in Manchester, NH. An autopsy revealed that Robert died from a combination of a severe beating to the head and drowning.
