On August 30, 1980 Henry Travers, Jr. of Derry, NH, was working as the night clerk at the Fireside Motel on Route 28 in Salem, NH (now the site of Home Depot). He was found shot to death. Henry was 73 years old at the time of his death.

On March 6, 2005 at 1053 hours, the victim, David A Neel, 49 yoa, was driving his blue and silver 1990 F-250 pickup southbound on I-75 approaching the I-4 exit. An unknown person shot David Neel prior to him taking the I-4 exit ramp. The bullet passed through the driver's door and struck Mr. Neel in the chest. Mr. Neel's vehicle ran off the side of the exit ramp a and crashed into a stand of trees. On November 15th, 2009, deputies learned of a party going on in the parking lot near 4156 Inglenook Lane. A fight erupted between two unknown black males, one of them pulled out a handgun and started shooting at the other as he ran from the area. The Georgia Bureau of Investigation's Atlanta Regional Office in Conyers, GA and the Lake City Police Department are investigating the murder of twenty-two year old Kadarius Bailey. The Lake City Police Department received a call for assistance on August 24, 2014 at approximately 9:40 p.m. from the Rainwood Apartments located at 1885 Harper Drive in Lake City, Georgia. Police and EMS responded to the scene and discovered Bailey deceased on the stairs outside of Building 19. Bailey, who was visiting with friends at the apartment complex, had been sitting on the stairs listening to music when he was shot multiple times.
