Cold Case Spotlight

Scharod Fleming was attending a teen dance at the YMCA in the Tenderloin neighborhood of San Francisco on January 17, 2004. After two fights broke out and spilled into the street police arrived (around 10:30pm) to defuse the situation. While the teens gathered in front of the building around 11:50pm a gunman opened fire on the crowd, shooting multiple people and killing 15-year-old Scharod Fleming. The Office of the Mayor of San Francisco has authorized a $100,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the suspect responsible for the murder of Scharod Fleming. On July 21, 2015, around 2 a.m., Eric Shaw and a female were shot at the Southside Court Apartments in Columbus, Georgia. At the time of the shooting, Columbus police say both victims were inside of a red 2009 Chevy Aveo. Eric died three months later as a result of his injuries. The female survived.

On Wednesday, September 20, 2006, at approximately 11:17 a.m., the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting incident at Jon’s Sport Park on Thompson Drive in Douglas, Georgia. Deputies arrived on the scene and found the body of Doris Worrell, age 39, at the scene. She was the victim of an apparent gunshot. Jon Worrell, the husband of the victim and manager of Jon’s SportPark, left the business at approximately 9:40 a.m. to run errands. His wife remained on the premises engaged in cleaning the business. When her husband returned at approximately 11:15 a.m., he found his wife’s body. On Thursday, March 13, 2008, “Conspiracy to Commit Murder” warrants were issued for Glidden Humberto Rodriguez, 39, and Brandon Eugene Cage, 20, both of Douglas, in reference to the homicide of Doris Worrell. Both subjects were arrested in Coffee County by Coffee County Deputies are in custody. The warrants are the result of the on-going investigation being conducted by the Coffee County Sheriff’s Office and the GBI Douglas Office into the shooting death of Doris Worrell. At the time of the murder, Rodriguez was employed at Jon’s Sports Park.
