Cold Case Spotlight

At 5:45pm on Saturday, March 20, 2010, Tiphne Hollis was shot and killed while traveling in a car with 4 other young women. The group had gotten turned around in an unfamiliar area of town when an unknown assailant(s) opened fire on the car. As Tiphne and the others scrambled for safety and bullet penetrated the vehicle and struck 16-year-old Tiphne Hollis, killing her. Cold Case Spotlight

On January 19, 2014 Derryck Harris and his childhood friend, Lamar Broussard, were ambushed while driving Broussard's car at the intersection of 100th Avenue and Longfellow Avenue in Oakland, California. Only a few weeks prior, Broussard's 13-year old brother had been shot and killed just a few blocks away. Detectives had not ruled out a connection between the two shootings early in the investigation but they have not commented publicly on the case since.
