Between 10:00 and 10:30 p.m. on March 22, 1971, 64-year-old Gaston Lulle Geer, owner of the Lucerne Park Grocery located on Lucerne Park Rd. (SR 544) in Winter Haven, was found dead inside the business. He had been struck several times on the head with his own handgun and was stabbed multiple times. Investigation revealed that $30 was missing from the cash register. On 07/22/2008, a black male entered the Joy Spring Food Store located at US 441 and Interstate 10 and conducted a robbery of the business. During the robbery, the black male shot and killed the store clerk, Linda Raulerson. The black male was described as being around 6 foot in height and wore a black jacket with hood on and sunglasses. The suspect fled the area and all leads/evidence has been exhausted to this point.
