In August of 2000, LANESHIA CROWDER, a 21 year old single mother of two children (seven year old KENNETH CROWDER and two year old LYRIC CROWDER) lived at 270 Henson Circle, Carrollton, GA. On Monday, August 14, 2000, at approximately 10:00 p.m., CROWDER’S body was discovered in her bedroom after no one had spoken with CROWDER for several days. CROWDER’S son, KENNETH, was discovered in the adjacent bedroom. He had been assaulted and was suffering from head trauma. He was airlifted to Egleston Hospital, where he survived his injuries. LYRIC CROWDER was found in her mother’s bedroom unharmed. CROWDER was last known to be alive on Saturday, August 12, 2000. It is believed that sometime after midnight in the early morning hours of Sunday, August 13, 2000, LANESHIA CROWDER was attacked and assaulted, resulting in her death.

Robert M. Woody Age: 31 Hgt: 5'4" Wgt: 161 lbs. Occupation: Mechanic at a battery reconditioning business in Cartersville Found: April 25, 1990 at 1:30pm Found by: Robert's employer Last Seen: 11:00pm April 24, 1990 leaving friend's house. On Wednesday, April 25, 1990, at 1:30pm, the bodies of Robert M. Woody and his wife Patricia Ann Woody were found in their single family home on Rudy York Road just outside the city limits of Cartersville. The bodies were discovered by Robert's employer who had gone to the home when Robert failed to show up for work that morning. Robert had been beaten and stabbed and Patricia had been strangled and stabbed. The Woody's were last seen alive at 11pm the previous evening, Tuesday, April 24, 1990, when they left a friend's residence in Patricia Woody's car. Investigators think the murders occurred sometime between midnight and 3:00am on April 25, 1990. Because there were no signs of forced entry into the home, investigators believe the assailant knew the victims and that Robert was the target of the attacks. Patricia became a victim because of her mere presence in the residence that night. On Sunday, June 8, 2003 at approximately 6:52 pm, the body of Jay Cecil Thames, a 57 year old white male, was found deceased at his residence located at 1115 SW 3 Ave. He had been beaten to death. The residence is a building with several apartments (a quad). The front door to the residence was found unsecured but there were no signs of forced entry. The victim was known to allow homeless people into his residence. The victim was last seen alive on 06-07-02 downtown by a GPD Detective. On October 7, 1990 Manchester Police detectives were called to a local hospital regarding a victim of an assault who was in a coma. The victim was identified as Christopher Kaldaras, age 30. Detectives learned that Christopher had suffered serious trauma to the head. Christopher died as a result of his injuries. During the investigation, detectives learned that Christopher had been assaulted in the area of Spruce and Union Streets in Manchester, NH a day or two prior to being admitted to the hospital. An extensive investigation into the incident failed to identify a suspect.
