Date: 02/26/2011 Time: 0156 hours Location: 5th Street & Avocado Avenue (Goldsboro) Sanford, FL 32771 Cause of Death: Gunshot Wound Manner of Death: Homicide Motive: Unknown On February 26th, 2008 Sanford Police Officers responded to the area of 5th Street and Avocado Avenue in reference to shots fired. Upon arrival officers encountered a Black male identified as Hamilton Clark laying in the roadway. Clark had sustained a gunshot wound to the back, which exited his chest. Clark was transported to Central Florida Regional Hospital and later airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center. Clark passed away as a result of his injury. A witness was identified and advised that just after hearing the gunshots, she observed two unknown Black males fleeing on foot west towards the Seminole Gardens housing projects. On Friday, August 12, 1989 at approximately 1:45 pm, the body of Morriel McClain was found deceased in his home located in the 3600 block of Smokey Chamber Drive which is in the Chimney Hill neighborhood. Witnesses described seeing a black male at the victim’s house the day before. He looked to be in his mid 20’s who stood about six feet tall, muscular build with short black hair. He was dressed in a red jumpsuit with a round red and white patch on the front pocket. This person is considered a person of interest and was seen putting on a dark blue or black baseball style hat before he left in his vehicle. He was seen driving a new model red Dodge Shadow. Mr. McCain’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for Autopsy. The cause of death was a gunshot wound and the manner ruled a homicide. Investigators have been able to determine Mr. McCain was last seen on August 10, 1989 at around 4:00 pm. He is described as a 24 year old black male who had brown eyes, black hair, 6’ 0’’ tall weighing 150 pounds with a moustache and goatee.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office responded to the home at East 56th Street between Evergreen and Buffalo Avenues at 12:35 a.m. Saturday, May 31, 2014. Investigators said an unknown man entered the house and shot and killed 55-year-old Kelly Eberhardt. Eberhardt's boyfriend, was quoted as saying the shooter appeared to be targeting Eberhardt. "He said 'do you know who I am?' and she said 'no,' then he shot her.
