25-year-old Octavio Hernandez was last seen alive leaving the Rio Grande Bar in Frostproof between midnight and 2:00 a.m. on May 11, 2008. He was found unresponsive, laying under a semi-truck trailer in the parking lot of Ben Hill Griffin Inc., located at 702 South Scenic Hwy in Frostproof. Skeletal remains were found on October 24, 1993 in a remote wooded area off Kettle Rock Road in Epsom, NH. The remains were later identified as Jerry Riley, age 25, of Manchester, NH. An autopsy revealed that he died from a gunshot wound to the head most likely two or three months before the remains were found. The medical examiner concluded that the manner of Jerry's death was a homicide.

On May 21, 1973 unidentified human remains were found in a rock pit in the 4900 block of Southwest 36th Street (Oaks Road) in unincorporated Broward County near Davie. The victim was a black female between 5'2" - 5'4" tall and 110 - 120 pounds. She had a medium afro. She was wearing a dark blue blouse and a light checkered skirt. She was estimated to be between 20-25 years old and was found wearing a size 6 1/4 Loveland white metal ring.
