Cold Case Spotlight

16 year old Kimberly Simon was last seen walking southbound on Mohawk Street around 6:30pm on September 18, 1985. She was on her way to meet a friend but never arrived. A massive search was launched and Kimberly's body was found the next day in the woods not far from where she was last seen. Kimberly had been beaten, sexually assaulted and strangled. Detectives have investigated many leads over the years and spoken to many suspects, including those accused of involvement in satanic rituals and an innocent man that was arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced to 25 years to life for Kimberly's rape and murder. That man was later freed with the help of DNA and the Innocence Project. Investigators believe some of the people they've talked to know more than they're saying and are hopeful for someone to come forward and tell the truth. A $5,000 reward will be paid for information that directly leads to the arrest and conviction of the person(s) responsible for this horrendous crime.
