On Monday, March 1, 1999 at approximately 3:09 am, gunfire erupted in the parking lot of Picasso’s Nightclub located in the 500 block of Newtown Road. Police responded with officers finding a man in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics transported the victim to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he died from his wound. The State Medical Examiner’s Office determined this death a homicide. Investigators identified the victim as Roy White; a 34 year old black male, who had left Picasso’s just prior to the shooting. He had been seen getting into a gold Infinity Sedan and began to leave the parking lot when the gunshots were reported. The Infinity was then seen driving erratic through the parking lot while striking several parked vehicles. Roy was a 34 year old black male who had brown eyes, 5’ 9’’ tall weighing 150 pounds. He had a moustache and goatee.

Date of Homicide : 10-13-2010 Case number : 10-49568 Victim : Nicholas McGee On 10-13-2010 at approximately 0110 hours,(1:10 am) Deputy Kruse was sitting at 60th Street West and 14th Street when he heard 4 gun shots. At 0114 hours the complainant called from 6011 2nd Street West and said that she heard gunshots and saw 3 black males running through her yard. Deputy Kruse responded to the complainants address and did not find anything there. Deputy Kruse then walked down 60th Ave. Dr. West, which is where the B/M's ran from, and located a door open with the glass shattered out of it at 205 60th Ave. Dr. West. Deputy Kruse approached the house and observed 4 bullet holes on the door and then observed the victim laying behind the door, which was open about 1 1/2 feet, with his head between the door and the wall in the corner. The victim's body was laying out into the living room diagonally. On May 3rd, 2004, at approximately 6:00 pm, Deputies responded to the area of Silver Star Road and Pinehills Road in reference to shots being fired. Moments later, deputies were informed that a gunshot victim was brought to a nearby Orange County Fire Station by his friends. The victim was a passenger in his friend’s vehicle during what appeared to be a moving gun battle between subjects in two vehicles. The victim died as a result of a gunshot wound. On November 10, 1986, around 11:30 p.m., Chuck Sterling was shot and severely beaten by an unknown white male suspect during an attempted armed robbery at the Red Barn Restaurant, located at 6150 New Tampa Hwy in Lakeland. Chuck and his wife were closing up the restaurant when the suspect entered and demanded money. There was a struggle over the gun with the suspect when the victim was fatally shot. On July 14th, 2005 approximately 0100 hours, the victim and a friend were sitting in a vehicle, within an apartment complex, located at 6806 N. 50th Street (50th Street just south of Sligh Avenue). An unknown black male, 5ft9, medium build, wearing dark clothing and a dark colored mask approached them. The suspect attempted to rob the victims of their money. The suspect then shot Chad Lynch in the upper torso, killing him. The suspect fled to an unknown destination.
