Update: Brothers, Kenrick Levon Holliday, 27, and Shavon Holliday, 25, along with Xavier Cortez Campbell, 26, have been arrested for the murder of Isaac Hodges. Hodges was lured to an abandoned store in Sylvarena, where he thought he was meeting a girl. The old abandoned building is located on Hwy. 501, just off Hwy. 18. According to the story that Hodges was able to tell his parents, a black SUV pulled up and started shooting into his truck. Hodges, who had been shot twice, was able to drive back to his parents’ house where he collapsed. He lived for ten days before he passed away.

On 04/30/2006, Arnulfo Montelong was involved in a drive-by shooting with several other subjects when the car he was riding in crashed into a ditch. The unknown subjects that were being shot at returned fire and Montelong was hit. He died as a result of a gunshot wound to his upper back. Deputies responded to a shooting at the Audoubon Village Mobile Home Park. John Bigler was returning home when he was confronted by two unknown black males with handguns demanding money and drugs. Shelva Ferree lived next door to John Bigler and observed the confrontation. She and her boyfriend started to approach John Bigler when one of the suspects shot her and her boyfriend; she died as a result of a gunshot wound, her boyfriend survived. The suspects then shot John Bigler before fleeing the area in a silver, Chevrolet Impala.
