49-year-old Charles G. Steele was a security guard who was found in a pool of blood on the north side of the Piper Aircraft in Lakeland. He was shot through his left knee and bled to death between 5:00 a.m. and 5:42 a.m. on September 22, 1974. PCSO received a call during the time frame from an unknown female who advised she had just shot a man at Piper Aircraft. On November 23, 2010, the body of 42-year-old Thomas Enquist, Sr., of Londonderry was located inside his black Ford F-150 pickup truck. The truck was found at approximately 10:38 p.m. in the right breakdown lane on Route 101 in Auburn, New Hampshire heading westbound between exits 2 and 1. It was determined that Enquist had died of gunshot wounds and his manner of death was ruled to be homicide. Despite an intensive investigation, the case remains unsolved.
