On Wednesday, March 25, 1987 the body of Diane Brazil, a 31 year old black female, was found in the wooded area of 200 NE 16 Ave. The complainant was walking in the area of Northeast Park when he located the victim face down in a decomposing state. Brazil had been reported missing by her mother on 03-06-87 (GPD #87-4536). Her mother located her Firebird in the parking lot. Her purse was dumped out in the car. Victim used to have a drug habit. Mother reported her missing when she didn't show up for work at the TLC Learning Center. On Friday, August 12, 1989 at approximately 1:45 pm, the body of Morriel McClain was found deceased in his home located in the 3600 block of Smokey Chamber Drive which is in the Chimney Hill neighborhood. Witnesses described seeing a black male at the victim’s house the day before. He looked to be in his mid 20’s who stood about six feet tall, muscular build with short black hair. He was dressed in a red jumpsuit with a round red and white patch on the front pocket. This person is considered a person of interest and was seen putting on a dark blue or black baseball style hat before he left in his vehicle. He was seen driving a new model red Dodge Shadow. Mr. McCain’s body was taken to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for Autopsy. The cause of death was a gunshot wound and the manner ruled a homicide. Investigators have been able to determine Mr. McCain was last seen on August 10, 1989 at around 4:00 pm. He is described as a 24 year old black male who had brown eyes, black hair, 6’ 0’’ tall weighing 150 pounds with a moustache and goatee.
