On January 6, 1990, 30-year-old Michael David Hamilton was found dead in his car at the E-Z Food Store, located at Power Line and Baker Dairy Road in Haines City. He had been shot one time in the left shoulder while sitting in his car. It appears that Hamilton was shot during a drug buy, and drove himself to the E-Z Food Store, where he died inside his car in the parking lot. On April 10, 1993, 15-year-old Diago Gama Gomez (female) and several other family members were in their residence at 204 Hopson Rd in Frostproof, when three unknown black male suspects entered and started shooting. Diago was shot in the head and died at the scene. Several of her family members were also wounded during the shooting. The suspects fled the scene on foot where possibly two other suspects were waiting outside. Drugs were possibly involved.
