On April 20th, 2009, two unknown black males forced their way into the apartment after identifying themselves as police. There were several Hispanic males in the apartment at the time. One Hispanic male came out of his bedroom carrying a machete. One of the suspects shot the victim and then fled from the apartment. The victim died as a result of the gunshot wound. Almonzo Marshall was shot inside a white Dodge Avenger somewhere in the area of south St. Petersburg at approximately 10:00 pm on June 14, 2009. Marshall was then transported to the Highpoint area in Clearwater where he was dumped out of a car by a family member and friend. It is believed the victim and his associates were attempting to engage in some type of criminal activity at the time Marshall was shot.
