On September 29, 2007, 8-week-old Zachary Durham’s father found the baby unresponsive and called 911. EMS transported Zachary to the Heart of Florida Hospital in Haines City where he was pronounced dead. Head trauma was discovered during autopsy. The Medical Examiner advised that the injuries were a result of a traumatic injury. The cause of death was listed as blunt force trauma and the manner of death as homicide. On February 26, 1978 unidentified remains were found in a wooded area behind a house east of the Florida Turnpike and south of Hillsboro Boulevard in unincorporated Deerfield Beach. The victim was a male with short, dark brown hair and was between 5'2" and 5'8" tall. He weighed 110 - 150 pounds. He was wearing a light brown, long-sleeved shirt with a floral and bird design and size 31", light blue, polyester trousers with a 29" inseam. The cuffs were folded up 2 1/4" inches. He also wore green underwear, multi-colored yellow, green and brown socks and a pair of black Thom McCann shoes with 2-inch heels. The victim was estimated to be between 18 - 25 years old. The time of death likely occurred between late 1977 and January 1978. The remains were skeletal.
