Cold Case Spotlight

Shortly after 2:00am on Sunday, January 30, 2011, police responded to shots being fired at 5100 Asher Avenue in Little Rock. Lt. Terry Hastings says they found 17-year-old Adonis Denzel Taylor lying in the parking lot at Kaufman's Lumber Company. Hastings says Taylor was shot in the upper torso and was taken to UAMS where he later died. Little Rock Police have no motives for the shooting, no suspects, and no answers for Talyor's family as to why he was shot and killed. On the evening of February 23, 1999, Star Boomer was patron of Uncle Mike’s Bar at 49th and Metropolitan in Kansas City, Kansas. Boomer had gone to the tavern with her roommate. The friend had a drink and headed home, planning to return in a few hours to pick up her roommate. When she arrived at the bar, she was told that Boomer had left with two men. Witnesses say Boomer was involved in a violent altercation with a man believed to be lifelong criminal with a history of violent behavior, particularly toward women.
