Linda Plummer, age 39, died on March 30, 1987 at Massachusetts General Hospital as a result of burns received in the fire. Terry Giles, age 24, and Joseph Poulin, age 29, also died as a result of the fire. This fire was determined to be arson.

The fire was discovered on the morning of October 11th at about 3:25 a.m. A third person, Linda Plummer, age 39, died on March 30, 1987 at Massachusetts General Hospital as a result of burns received in the fire. This fire was determined to have been an arson fire.

The decomposed body of Douglas Morgan, age 36, of Sharon, MA, was found in the woods near Route 101 in Greenland, NH, on October 20, 1985. Douglas was last seen at the beginning of July 1985. An autopsy concluded that Douglas had been beaten and stabbed to death. He, along with four other men, had been charged with conspiring to sell $2 million in stolen bonds and he was supposed to be a witness in a federal trial in Boston, MA.

Ellen Ruth Fried, age 26, was last seen talking on a payphone outside of a convenience store in Claremont on July 22, 1984. Her skeletal remains were found in a wooded area next to the Sugar River in the Kelleyville area of Newport, NH on September 19, 1985. The autopsy revealed the cause of death to be undetermined because of the skeletal remains that were found. However, the circumstance of her disappearance and the findings at the scene were consistent with Ellen having been sexually assaulted before her death. The case has been treated as a homicide.

At approximately 6:00 a.m. on December 10, 1982 a vehicle was discovered at the bottom of an embankment on Route 175 in Thornton, NH. The vehicle, a 1982 Saab 900, was engulfed in flames when emergency personnel arrived. When the fire was extinguished, the police discovered the badly burned bodies of Janet Dow, age 40, and her son, Stephen Dow, age 18, in the vehicle. Janet and Stephen lived a short distance away from where the burning car was discovered. In 1982, the deaths were ruled a result of a fatal motor vehicle accident. The case was reopened in 1993 based on new evidence. The subsequent investigation indicates that the deaths of Janet and Stephen may have been the result of foul play.
