On July 26, 1986, the body of 15-year-old Belinda Snowden was discovered in a rural area off Highway 59 near Wacissa in Jefferson County,. She was last seen alive between 1 and 2 a.m. that day in Wakulla County. Witnesses reported seeing her near what at the time was a Jr. Food Store at the intersection of Woodville Highway and Highway 267. She was wearing a pink shirt and jeans when she disappeared. Ms. Snowden was from Jackson County but had been staying in Wakulla County with relatives who lived near the store. Although the case is more than two decades old, it's still under active investigation. Lindsey O. Sams and her step-daughter were alone in the townhome. No forced entry. Step-daughter found her on 2nd floor, blugeoned around the head area. Victim was still alive. Victim's husband was a docter in Mississippi. Upon arrival to the area, he eventually took charge of her care, moving her back to Mississippi. Eventually he moved her to a facility in TEnnessee where she died. She could never communicate any information about the suspect. Update: May 2019 - Seminole County Sheriff's Office Major Crimes investigators last night arrested Danny Lynn Emitt, 50, of Knoxville, TN, for the murder of 38-year-old of Eveline Aguilar. Aguilar's body was discovered on July 14, 1986, in her apartment located at 2353 Winter Woods Boulevard in unincorporated Winter Park. Aguilar had multiple cuts and stab wounds to her upper body and hands. Eve Aguilar, 38, suffocated and her throat was slashed at her apartment in south Seminole. She was last seen several days earlier by a friend who found her July 14, 1986. Aguilar's killer also sexually assaulted her.
