On July 12, 1973 two fifteen-year-old girls from Merrimack, NH, Anne Psaradelis and Diane Compagna went missing. They had been seen at Hampton Beach and were last seen hitchhiking in the direction of Merrimack late in the afternoon of July 12th. It was first thought that they had run away, but two months went by without any word from either girl. Their badly decomposed bodies were discovered on September 29, 1973 in the woods off of New Boston Road in Candia, NH. The area is within a short distance of Route 101, which is the road leading from Merrimack to Hampton Beach. The manner of death was undetermined because of the condition of the bodies but it is believed that the girls were strangled to death.

Kathleen Randall, age 18, a freshman from Boston University, was reported missing on September 19, 1972. She had been missing from her dorm since September 13, 1972. Her body was found at Yudicki Farm on Route 111-A in Nashua on October 1, 1972. All indication from the scene suggest that she had been deceased for some time. The manner of death was ruled undetermined by the medical examiner because of decomposition, but the circumstances surrounding her death indicate that foul play was involved. The case has been treated as a homicide.

Update - January 2022: Investigators at the New Hampshire Attorney General's Office have determined that Albert Francis Moore Jr. was responsible for killing Arlene Clevesy.

Moore, 88, died in 2019 from prostate cancer.


Arlene Clevesy was found dead in a wooded area near Hume Brook (Newton/South Hampton town line) on June 4, 1972. The medical examiner ruled her death as homicide by traumatic asphyxia including drowning. The Cold Case Unit was unaware of this case until 2015, and a review and reinvestigation of the file has commenced.

Daniel O'Connell, age 28, of Lowell, MA, was found dead in a wooded area off of Route 106 in Loudon, NH on October 31, 1971. An autopsy revealed that Daniel died as a result of shotgun wounds. He also suffered blunt force injuries to his head and face, which contributed to his death.

Her body was found on November 22, 2001 in the vicinity of the Glen Ellis Falls parking lot at Pinkham Notch. An autopsy ruled that her death was a homicide as a result of multiple stab wounds.
