Her remains were found in August 1973. Investigators believe she was dumped in the rural wooded area around Lake Lotus in June or July. Her remains were scattered, with no identification whatsoever. Investigators believe she was as young as 14. The only item recovered with her remains was a ring - a size 6 white gold ring with an alexandrite stone, which is a June birthstone. The ring was manufactured by Davidson & Sons Jewelry in New York City. She is believed to be of thin build, between 5'4" and 5'7". DNA testing shows that she was most likely from the Pacific Northwest. Her identity remains a mystery after all these years. On April 18, 1981 unidentified human remains were discovered in a drainage ditch along the roadway next to the Homestead Extension of the Florida Turnpike. The victim was a white male with brown hair who was 5'5" and weighed between 130 and 140 pounds. He wore dark green, corduroy trousers with a 28 1/2 inch waist and a medium National shirt. He wore blue or dark green underwear and brown shoes with no socks. The victim was estimated have been in his late 20s to early 30s at the time of death. The victim had three insulin-type syringes in his pockets that may have been used for illegal drugs. He had been dead several months when his body was found. Investigators believe he was probably right handed. He also had poor dental health with several fillings.
