On November 12, 1992, 80-year-old Mary Vavrek was transported to Winter Haven Hospital and died a short time later. The cause of death was listed as natural. The next day, the victim’s husband, 86-year-old Andy Vavrek, was transported to Winter Haven Hospital in serious condition. On November 16, 1992, blood work revealed that Mary had died from ingesting anti-freeze and her husband had also ingested anti-freeze. A bottle of Sherry with anti-freeze was found in the liquor cabinet in the residence. On September 30, 1994, Jarrod Green left his residence to meet a friend at the Searcy Country Club in Searcy, Arkansas. He has not been heard from since. Jarrod’s vehicle was discovered abandoned in the Walmart parking lot in Searcy on October 3, 1994. The car's windows were open and Green's car keys were located on the floor underneath the driver's seat. Almost 23 years after Jarrod was last seen an arrest was made in his disappearance and suspected murder. However, the charges were dropped 6 months later.
