On March 5, 1980 unidentified human remains were discovered in a wooded area south of Hillsboro Boulevard and west of Powerline Road in unincorporated Broward County near Deerfield Beach. The victim was a white male with long, blond hair. He was about 5'6" - 5'7" tall. He was wearing a brown and orange International Collection corduroy jacket with a fur inner lining, a yellow Sportswear t-shirt, brownish-grey corduroy pants with a brown belt and brown desert boots. He was estimated to be between 23 - 28 years old. The remains were skeletal and the body was wrapped in a blanket.
