Paula Brien’s body was found at 455 Harriet St. on June 18, 2001, around 2 a.m. by a truck driver making a delivery. Paula was last seen leaving Gina’s Bar (no longer in operation) at Sixth and Market streets two hours before her body was found. Police say Brien was with an unidentified white man, approximately 6 feet tall, muscular in build, in a red car. The San Francisco Police Department announced it is offering a $100,000 reward for information that leads to the identification, arrest, and conviction of the suspect(s) in this case. On March 29, 1986 unidentified human remains were discovered in the New River Canal near Hiatus Road and State Road 84 in unincorporated Fort Lauderdale. The victim was a white male with short, brown hair. He was 5'9" tall and weighed 135 lbs. He wore size 28-30 Jockey underwear. He is estimated to be in his early 30s. The autopsy revealed that the victim had been deceased for 2-3 days. He was wrapped in a two-tone brown comforter. He had extensive dental work with gold fillings. He was killed within one hour after eating a spaghetti dinner.
