On March 24, 1988 the remains of a human skull, a humerus bone from the upper arm and an ulna from the lower arm were discovered in a wooded area on the south side of Lox Road, west of 441 in unincorporated Broward County. Because of a lack of more physical evidence, investigators could not determine the body's gender, race or age. On 4/17/1988, Human remains were found in a wooded area of US 441 and Interstate 10. The remains were later identified as that of Laverne Mack. Laverne had been reported missing on 08/11/1987 by Lake City Police Department. There was not enough evidence to determine the cause of death and after several interviews, no suspects were able to be identified. On December 10th, 2005, at approximately 1:51 am, deputies responded to 8726 Bexhill Boulevard in Orlando in reference to a vehicle accident. When deputies arrived they discovered two white males suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim, who was the driver of the van died at the scene. The second white male victim survived his injuries.
