Cold Case Spotlight

On March 4, 2002 deputies responded to an apartment fire at the Cypress Club Apartments on Rouse Road in East Orange County. Investigators soon learned that the fire was set in an attempt to cover up the murder of 23 year old Alesha Dorothy Suarez. A witness told investigators that he observed a white male in his late teens running from the apartment building moments after hearing the fire alarm. Investigators believe Alesha may have known her assailant because there was no sign of forced entry into her second floor apartment. Anyone who has any information about this case, the identity, or location of the suspect(s) is asked to contact the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 407-254-7280.
