On April 18, 1981 unidentified human remains were discovered in a drainage ditch along the roadway next to the Homestead Extension of the Florida Turnpike. The victim was a white male with brown hair who was 5'5" and weighed between 130 and 140 pounds. He wore dark green, corduroy trousers with a 28 1/2 inch waist and a medium National shirt. He wore blue or dark green underwear and brown shoes with no socks. The victim was estimated have been in his late 20s to early 30s at the time of death. The victim had three insulin-type syringes in his pockets that may have been used for illegal drugs. He had been dead several months when his body was found. Investigators believe he was probably right handed. He also had poor dental health with several fillings. Cold Case Spotlight

On January 4, 1994 police were dispatched to 4000 San Juan Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida in response to a body floating in the Ortega River just north of the Ortega Bridge. The victim was identified as Lora Elise Loftin Crady, just 2 weeks shy of her 38th birthday. Lora's partially clothed body displayed evidence of foul play. Lora's death was initially deemed undetermined by JSO but the medical examiner's office rule it a homicide. The discrepancy led to evidence being thrown out. Now investigators need the public's help to find Lora's killer and bring justice to her family.
