Update - April 2013: William Hurst of Kentucky was sentenced to life in prison, following a Pasco jury's decision to convict him on a first-degree murder charge in relation to the death of his wife, Amy Rose Hurst, in 1982, Amy Rose Hurst was last known to be alive on 08/15/1982. Her family reported her missing after being unable to contact her for three months. Amy had recently moved to Florida with her husband from Michigan and didn~t have any friends in the area. On 09/05/1982 Amy~s body was found 25 miles off the Shore of Manatee County in the Gulf of Mexico. Amy~s remains were only recently identified. William Gary Hurst was arrested for the 1st degree murder of his wife Amy Rose Hurst on 09/19/11. On 28 April 1982 the victim Clair Bouvier Noel was employed as a clerk at the Amoco Gas Station at the cross street of Hwy 301 & Adamo drive in Tampa. The victim was last seen alive at approximately 8 p.m. on 28 April by customers who stopped at the store and purchased gas and the victim appeared O.K. A witness saw a large semi-rig parked on the highway near the station. A white male, 45-49 years of age, 5'10", 180-200 lbs, receding hair, salt and pepper in color, pot belly, wearing plaid shirt, white t-shirt, old fashion Bermuda shorts and flip flops was seen coming into the gas station. The unidentified white male remained in the store when the witnesses left. At 8:06 p.m. the victim was discovered deceased, shot multiple times. The investigation revealed that $70.96 was missing. On Thursday, September 25, 2003 at approximately 2:30 am, gunfire erupted in the 4600 block of Downeast Court in the North Beach Apartment complex. Police and Rescue found a man lying inside the door of one of the apartments suffering from a gunshot wound. He had died where he was found. Michael’s body was transported to the State Medical Examiner’s Office where the autopsy proved he had died from a gunshot wound. The manner of death was ruled a homicide. Investigators believe the victim answered a knock at his door and when he opened the door he was shot. Michael was a student and baseball player at Virginia Wesleyan College and was from Newport News. Michael Snapp was a 19 year old white male who had blue eyes, short brown hair, 5’ 11’’ tall, weighing 173 pounds.
