On October 17, 1981 an unidentified body was found lying in the grass on the side of the road at 3051 W. State Road 84. The victim was a white male who was 5'10" tall and weighed 158 pounds. Investigators believe he was the victim of a hit and run crash. He was wearing a pair of light blue slacks with a green stain, a light blue shirt and brown walking shorts. He had on socks with no shoes. He is estimated to be 38 years old. He was found with a false Hawaii driver license with his name listed as "MIGOD." Cold Case Spotlight

On October 31, 1995 an unknown, armed Asian male, in a full face bandana, posing as a trick-or-treater forced his way into the home of 30 year old Phoutone "Tawn" Lothirath. The gunman ordered Mr. Lothirath's 10 year old son to his room before pinning the victim to the couch and shooting him once in the head and multiple times in the chest. Despite living within a small tight knot Laotian community, no one has come forward with information in this case. Anyone with information can contact the Escondido Police Department.
