On the evening of July 10th, the victim left her apartment near Sligh Avenue and Rowlett Park Drive for unknown reasons and never returned. The next morning, her partially clothed body was discovered by a jogger in the Town n' Country area of Hillsborough County. The victim died as a result of gunshot wounds. The victim's car was recovered the following day parked/abandoned on a residential street in Tampa near Manhattan Avenue and I-275. The victim's purse was located by the side of a road in Clearwater. An Alachua County resident discovered the body of a female baby floating in a private pond. The pond where Baby Jane Doe was discovered is located at the end of NW 102nd Place just 3 miles north of the Highway Patrol Station. NW 102nd Place is a dirt road that runs east off of State Road 121, and after a half a mile it dead ends into private property. Recent advances in DNA technology has been utilized to determine that Baby Jane Doe was a black female whose parents were both black and most likely of Caribbean descent. Baby Jane was estimated to be between 2 weeks and 5 month old at the time of her death.
