Cold Case Spotlight

15-year-old Jonathen “Johnnie” Matthew Carter was shot and killed on July 6, 2016 near his home in Jacksonville's Lakeshore neighborhood.

Investigators reported that some sort of altercation took place prior to Johnnie being shot around 4:45 a.m. on Sunderland Road at Vista Avenue near Blanding Boulevard.

Anyone with any information on Johnnie’s murder is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904.630.0500. To remain anonymous and possibly receive a reward, contact First Coast Crime Stoppers at 1.866.845.TIPS (8477).
