On November 18, 1986 unidentified human remains were discovered along Alligator Alley at mile marker 60 (old mile marking system). The victim was a white female who stood between 5'1 - 5'3" tall and weighed 100 - 115 pounds and was estimated to be in her 60s. The remains were skeletal. The initials Y.E.M. were inscribed on a white, metal wedding band the victim wore.
